The College has continued to monitor road conditions, flight cancellations, and other travel disruptions overnight and through the early morning hours. Classes will be cancelled on Monday, Dec. 1 to provide all those traveling back to campus additional time to return safely from Thanksgiving break.

After careful review, the Board of Trustees has approved an overall 2.5% increase to the total comprehensive fee for the 2026-27 academic year. This is the lowest annual increase in the comprehensive fee since the College began keeping records 67 years ago, and lower than the current 3% rate of inflation, as measured by the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI).
Every year on November 8, we express our gratitude for the accomplishments of all first-generation Grinnellians – faculty, staff, students, and alumni – by observing First-Generation College Celebration Day. This day commemorates the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965, which increased access, retention, and completion rates for first-generation and low-income (FGLI) students.
